**The Company**:
A responsible and progressive housing provider based in the West Midlands. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.
**The Role**:
- The role is that of a Support Worker; this is a 5-month contract, with the view to an extension
- This is a full-time role; 37.5 hours a week.
- Shifts are 9-5, 10-6pm, 2-10pm across 5 days of the week.
- Rate of Pay for this role £10.05 PAYE OR £12.75 Umbrella.
- Based in Ludlow, you will be working with tenants with complex needs, supporting them with tenancy sustainment and other housing related support.
**The Responsibilities**:
- As a Support worker, you will be required to provide a comprehensive housing support service to young people within South Shropshire in order to achieve the outcomes specified by Shropshire Council’s Supporting People contract. This includes providing outreachsupport and visits to young people living in the local area.
- As a Support worker, you will need to work within a locality team of providers to ensure a range of group and training activities are accessible and used by young people.
- An important part of your role will include running and participating in group and training activities and assisting with planning.
- You will be required to manage the building as a lone worker and be able to deal effectively with issues of anti-social behaviour, health and safety and /or housing management issues.
- As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for a designated caseload of support residents, and assess the outcomes achieved regularly. Assist the Service manager/deputy manager in reporting outcomes and preparing residents to move on from the Foyer.
**Required Skills**:
- Up-to-date, relevant knowledge and experience of good working practice in a social housing / support setting.
- Have previously worked in a client-oriented setting, maintaining a focus on quality.
- Experience of successfully supervising colleague performance and quality.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Understanding of relevant social and cultural issues/factors.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience of having worked as a support worker, dealing with tenancy sustainment and welfare an benefits advice.
- Over 3 years’ experience within a relevant position i.e., Support worker.
- Understanding of relevant legal framework and experience of housing and tenancy management
