**Finance Assistant Responsibilities:**
As part of your key responsibilities across the various roles directly or in an assisting capacity you’ll
- Be the liaison point for third party agency providers, including the monitoring of the time and attendance approvals of temporary staff
- Raise monthly client invoices and client reporting pack
- Attend weekly meetings with the JCB operational team
- Prepare monthly Client billing and client reporting pack for JCB Business Units
- Ensure month-end postings of apportionments and review of cost centres for JCB Business Units
- Support the wider JCB finance team in driving efficiency and process improvements
- Provide financial and management reporting and accounting for JCB and related third parties
- Prepare forecasts, budgets and corporate plans
- Produce UK weekly reports for the operational team and client
- Prepare cost information and funding requests to the client
- Assist with JCB central cost centre month-end postings
- Prepare monthly financial performance summaries
- Update the JCB Purchase Order Log, entering purchase requisitions and being part of the Purchase Order workflow process

**Finance Assistant Requirements**:

- Experienced and fully qualified / Part-Qualified / Studying for accounting qualification
- Experience of working in an accounting environment
- Experience of month end accounting processes
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Pro-active approach to work prioritisation
- Ability to develop, adapt and improve processes and procedures
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel; as a minimum they must be comfortable with IF and VLOOKUP functions

**Location**: Hybrid / Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
**Salary**: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on role and experience
