We are looking for an efficient personnel administrator to join a thriving secondary school in Rugby. This will be a term time only, fixed term contract to cover a 12-month maternity leave.

Applicants must be able to deal sensitively with matters of confidence whilst following the School Child Protection policy, for which training will be given.

Responsibilities include:

- Act as the first point of contact for personnel issues
- Process monthly payroll data input and liaise with appropriate bodies.
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team regarding personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintain and implement internal documentation and liaise with Warwickshire County Council, pension providers and external HR services as appropriate.
- Draft, type, photocopy and distribute general HR correspondence, information packs etc. Maintain and implement new documentation and systems as appropriate.
- Maintain Staff Fire List report.
- Administer the performance management system working with the Deputy Headteacher.
- Manage training requests (e.g. book training requests, monitor the training budget with the Finance department, process evaluations and feed back to the Deputy Headteacher).
- Assist with all aspects of recruitment
- Maintain contract and salary information.
- Produce staff data reports from SIMS as required (e.g. staff address lists, staff contract information, salary information).
- Produce annual staff data checking sheets for all staff and input changes to staff records as appropriate.
- Produce annual staff salary notification letters.
- Monitor staff absence, training and annual leave records.
- Record and monitor probation periods for new staff.
- Undertake the annual DFE workforce census and other data reports, as required.
- Liaise with the school’s external HR advisors for procedural/policy advice.
