**Job Details**:
**Salary Range**: £28,934 - £32,026 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £19,550 - £21,639 per annum)
- **Work Location**:Aldershot & Farnborough (based at Park House Alton), Basingstoke (based at Dame Mary Fagan house), Southampton (based at The Hub, Totton), Eastleigh (based at Rockwood Centre), Gosport (Based at Kent Road), Portsmouth and Waterlooville (based at The Plaza, Havant)
- You should feel able to respond in a timely manner to foster family within these location, with the requirement for some countywide travel. You will
- **have access to **HCC facilities, as well as the opportunity to work flexibly between home, and visits to families.
- **Hours per week**:25 (to be worked flexibly based upon the needs of the Hive between (07:00-22:00 Monday -Saturday))

- Since their creation, Hampshire’s Hives have been extremely popular with many of our foster carers. In fact, we know that some of our new foster carers chose
- **Fostering Hampshire Children** because they were keen to be part of a Hive community and we are delighted that there are now 228 families and 498 children (including 279 children in care) in Hampshire’s 16 Hives.
- Based on your feedback, we have now increased the maximum size of Hives to 15-20 families, to support as many families as possible.
- To ensure we can accommodate all families who are eager to join a Hive, we are creating 7 further hives in:
- Aldershot & Farnborough
- Basingstoke
- Southampton
- Eastleigh
- Fareham
- Portsmouth and Waterlooville
- Totton & Waterside

**That means we’re on the look-out for seven more Hive Carer Support Workers**- The
- **Hive Foster Carer Support Worker** will take on the role of
- **co-ordinating and supporting** the foster families who are part of their support network (Hive). They should be able to respond to all sorts of fostering concerns and be able to
- ** offer advice and provide emotional and practical support **to the foster families in their network.- The Hive Foster Carer Support Worker will work in the
- ** best interests of the child** and alongside those professionals involved in the child’s care. There will be a Hive Link Carer attached to each Hive to provide the sleepover and day care needs of the Hive.- Alternatively, we have set up two drop in sessions which you can speak to members of the team who will be able to answer any questions you may have, they will be held:

- This role has been designed to be flexible, so you can work at times that suit you and the carers in your Hive
- You are not required to keep a spare bedroom, or to provide day care or respite care for the carers in your Hive. All Hive families are encouraged to support one another with day care and overnight stays, and HCSWs play a key role in helping to match families in need of support with others in the Hive.
