**Job Summary**

Employability Services have an exciting opportunity for an Employability Support Officer to join their expanding team. Care Plus Employability Services deliver two strands under one service - Employability and Supported Employment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Employability Team to help support the worklessness agenda of Northern Lincolnshire, delivering a holistic approach to supporting unemployed people on a pathway to sustainable employment. The team deliver various employability initiatives including voluntary work based learning, apprenticeships, and intermediate labour market opportunities. They aim to empower local people to become socially included within their communities, whilst also breaking down barriers to employment.

Supported Employment is a work-based employment team that provides a flexible service based on individual needs. Supported Employment supports people with learning and physical disabilities to access employment in both paid and voluntary work by partnership working with other organisations and employers within the public, private and third sector.

**Main duties of the job**

Job title: Employability Support Officer

Base: Val Waterhouse Centre

16 hours per week

Fixed term contract - Permanent

Salary Range 4 - £23,360 - £25,784 pro rata per annum - you will be appointed on a fixed salary point within the range

**Person Specification**

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Hold or be willing to work towards Information and Guidance/Employability practitioner Level 3 or other appropriate qualification at level 3 or extensive experience of the employment sector
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Maths and English at minimum level 2

**Desirable**
- Information and Guidance Level 3

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience of working with a range of people with barriers to employment e.g. physical disabilities, learning disabilities, long term unemployed etc in a training/vocational environment

**Desirable**
- Knowledge or experience of the Work Programme and other DWP contracts

**Knowledge & Skills**

**Essential**
- Knowledge and understanding in the delivery of employment initiatives
- Demonstrable experience of working in partnership with other agencies and professionals.
- Standard keyboard skills/IT literate

**Desirable**
- Knowledge/experience of the Work Programme and other DWP contracts
- Knowledge of Individual Learning Plans/Health & Care Plans with tangible outcomes

**Disclosure and Barring Service Check**
