**Student Support Officer**

Appoint Consulting are proud to be recruiting for a Student Support Officer for our client, a national training provider. The main purpose of this role is to provide 1st class information, advice and guidance (IAG) to adult learners using a range of communication methods and styles to suit individual needs.

**Student Support Officer Responsibilities**:

- Produce high quality action plans for each client and ensure the levels of service in initial interactions achieve customer satisfaction
- Establish, build, support and manage stakeholder relationships, acting as a main point of contact (where appropriate)
- Carry out associated administration work in a timely fashion to include the accurate updating of our CRM system
- Collect and analyse management information to evaluate own service delivery
- Carry our timely and effective audit and review of own records
- Proactively manage the workflow of IAG delivery sessions to ensure the engagement of a high proportion of individuals to progress according to their own intent
- Ensure delivery exceeds Ofsted and Matrix minimum standards, and is compliant with ESFA and GMCA funding rules
- Take part in local/national stakeholder events to positively promote our services and build stakeholder confidence and trust
- Take part in observations, and act positively on feedback, including CPD
- Follow current procedures to carry out initial screening, assessment of needs, learning styles and ability to undertake required learning content that clearly identifies the learner’s motivation for learning and future career aspirations
- Plan and arrange or facilitate interventions with learners to develop their employability and/or soft skills to underpin their future career aspirations, in either a 1:1 or group setting, digitally or face to face
- Keep up-to-date with company policies and procedures, as well as other industry standards to ensure that you are working within the appropriate framework and guidelines for our team to deliver a high-quality service offer

**The Perfect Student Support Officer Will Have the Following Requirements**:

- Experience working within the education sector or support industry would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of the education and training sector (essential)
- Experience of effective engagement with learners is advantageous, but not essential
- Experience of successfully achieving targets, together with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills
