Role Summary

In this role, you will establish and maintain an appropriate and sustainable Product Quality System and Quality Culture at the UK Pfizer Country Office (PCO) so that compliance with Pfizer and Regulatory authority expectations and protection of Pfizer patients/customers from any product quality risk is ensured. You will be the main point of contact for the investigation and resolution of all product quality issues discovered or originating in UK Country Office activities and for interacting with the relevant local stakeholders, Pfizer Global Supply and local regulatory authorities on such issues.

You will have the responsibility and authority for ensuring that the appropriate quality standards and systems are implemented and maintained for the product supply operation of the Pfizer business in the UK.

You will lead and manage a team of colleagues who will elevate the importance of product quality as a fundamental principle across the businesses. You shall be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and sets direction for its success.

You will also be eligible to be the named Responsible Person (RP) on the Pfizer Ltd. Wholesale Distribution Authorisation.

Through your expertise and extensive knowledge, you will be able to foster a culture that promotes innovation and thrives on doing better for patients and healthcare.

How You Will Achieve It
- Set objectives for and manage multiple projects/ ongoing work activities within the team.
- Manage the team supporting the UK product quality management system.
- Train, coach and mentor team members to achieve team, business unit and organizational goals.
- Implement all applicable Global procedures within the Pfizer Country Office (PCO).
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the Quality Management System (QMS), evaluate and highlight any significant trends and identify actions.
- Notify management of significant concerns or repeated deviations that occur within the Quality Management System and all issues potentially affecting marketed product.
- Ensure regular quality management reviews are conducted for continuous improvement.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of Product Quality and Good Distribution Practice audits and inspections of the PCO.
- Contact local regulatory authorities in response to product quality issues.
- Attend Quality review team meetings and ensure implementation of the local actions.
- Oversee the management of product quality complaints that originate in the UK market and ensure compliance with global procedure.
- Oversee the local batch disposition process for release of products for distribution to the UK market.
- Implement an effective quality management process for Pfizer's logistic service provider who distributes Pfizer products in the UK market and ensure quality agreements are maintained.
- Ensure RPI checks and controlled drugs management are implemented as per local regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the UK business and platform lines to support business goals and business critical processes.

**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Life Sciences degree and strong working experience.
- Excellent stakeholder and people management skills.
- Eligible as a Responsible Person.
- Strong understanding of quality systems and compliance.
- Experience with Board of Health communication and hosting external inspections.

Nice-to-Have
- Experience in leading and growing teams.
- Strong negotiations and effective communication skills.
- Excellent system skills - Word and Excel essential, experience with electronic documentation control systems.
- Experience in management of regional or global projects.
