Post to start 4th July.

**HOURS OF WORK**:
4 days (26 hours per week)

**Holidays**

Including Bank Holidays 24 days (pro rota)

**SALARY**:
**£18,000 PA**

Contract initially for 2 Years with a possible extension depending on funding.

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
To work as part of a team providing a comprehensive housing and general support service to young people aged 16-30 in Knowsley. To work as part of a team, providing support, promoting peer support, monitoring and evaluation also working with the project manager to develop an exit strategy from the programme.

**PRINCIPLE TASKS**:

- To generate referrals, assess support needs, and negotiate a support contract. To develop effective relationships with service users to make them feel safe, supported, and valued.
- To assist with the move into independent living, including practical help with obtaining furniture and white goods, budgeting, benefits advice, home visits, advocating on their behalf with other agencies.
- To meet with service users in their home or at accessible community venues to provide tenancy support.
- To liaise regularly with other agencies to offer a coordinated approach.
- To enable tenants to access community resources.
- To record and monitor progress, review support contracts, and negotiate exit strategies from the support programme.
- To ensure that all Centre 63’s administrative and financial procedures are adhered to. To provide regular reports on the programme as and when required.
- To attend and contribute to regular staff/team meetings of Centre 63/YES Project
- To liaise with all Centre 63 staff to promote and maintain current communication systems.
- To share practice to ultimately enhance and increase the effectiveness of service provision.
- Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Project Coordinator.

- Experience of dealing with Universal credit claims, council tax, Discretionary housing payments, low level debt **E**
