We are looking for individuals with expert dietetic knowledge, experience and competencies to support us in growing this offer to meet the needs of those who use our services alongside our experienced mental health and eating disorders teams. We have a great dietetic network across MPFT with lots of support and opportunities for development. This role is a new opportunity therefore will need someone who is enthusiastic about learning and developing.
1. The direct provision of high quality evidence based person-centred physical and mental health care to people who have been identified as having disordered eating attributed to their mental health condition or conditions
2. Providing leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care to the wider multi-disciplinary across mental health IMHT’s, Inpatient mental health and adult community dietetics
3. Facilitating learning through the development and delivery of specialist clinically focussed education and training programmes.
4. You will be expected to display behaviours that are aligned with the organisations values and as required in accordance with the NHS Constitution at all times.
5. You will provide highly specialised complex clinical assessments and interventions, supported by the Operational and Clinical Lead. They will work collaboratively with other members of a wide network of multi-disciplinary teams this will include working across services.
6. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Physical Health Pathway for people with disordered eating is clearly defined and implemented.

As part of the transformation of mental health services the focus of this role will be to develop a dietetic intervention to support people who experience disordered eating as a direct consequence of their mental health condition. Disordered eating impacts on people’s physical health and mental health to the extent that it exposes them to harm that can be dangerous to their physical health. The role is to work alongside existing services that provide community mental health assessment and treatment, inpatient mental health services, community adult dietetics, and specialist eating disorders.

The role will be to provide high quality evidence based person-centred physical and mental health care to individuals who experience disordered eating as a direct consequence of their mental health condition or conditions. The role will provide leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care to the wider multi-disciplinary teams and professional working across services in order to integrate the best care. The role will facilitate learning through the development of raising awareness and educating professionals, people and carers around the associated risks as a direct consequence of disordered eating.
