**JOB ROLE**

The Capability Partner: Channel Excellence will anticipate demand for technology products for channel excellence including but not limited to CRM, field experience, direct & digital experience, events & meetings, ux & ui optimization, marketing automation, channel optimization capabilities (inc. A:B & MVT etc.) and for all areas of field operations & services including Measurement & incentives, Learning & coaching and other relevant capabilities

The role will use their IT expertise, bio-pharma industry trends and in-depth understanding of AZ business priorities to lead the functional/capability IT strategy development, investment planning, and delivery. The role will develop strategic relationships at the highest levels with senior leaders across all relevant business units, identifying ways for IT to partner achieving and exceeding business objectives. This role will lead the identification of innovative technology solutions, to build maximum competitive advantage, passionate about high impact business outcomes and will ensure current technology is fully exploited for business benefit. The role will be accountable for the successful development & evolution of an ambitious and transformational capability strategy & roadmap for content that combines short, medium & long-term ambition, and for ensuring broad support & alignment across the partner group.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Create & maintain ambitious, realistic & relevant roadmaps for all aspects of the Channel Excellence domain.
- Develop & demonstrate broad internal networks to ensure full visibility & appreciation of current and forthcoming opportunity/unmet need.
- Develop & use broad external networks to ensure visibility of emerging & established technical capabilities, alternative perspectives and to ensure contextual fit of
- Work closely with product team, with SDD and with Ignite to ensure product roadmap is accurately delivered and is imagined in a way that maximises long-run return.
- Work with A&V team to ensure roadmaps are well understood across all team member groups
- Work with other capability teams to ensure consistency and to develop click-technology ambition.
- Work with Business Engagement teams to ensure aligned dialogue with commercial teams across all business units.
- Develop a strategic IT relationship with senior leaders across all relevant business units, developing a deep understanding of the business strategies, priorities and challenges, ensuring that IT investment is aligned to business objectives.
- Establish & maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure full visibility of relevant product & strategic roadmaps and develop strategies to collaborate to deliver maximum value for AstraZeneca. Develop & maintain a wide external network including peers, providers and innovators, leverage this network to enhance the strategy & roadmap for content and establish AZ as a global leader with vision in this space.
- Partner with other capability leaders to ensure cohesion across the whole commercial IT offer. Work with other relevant IT Teams to ensure that all IT services used by the Function meet the agreed performance outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives as required.
- Ensure the wider IT strategy is clearly communicated and understood by senior Deliver business leaders
- Proactively manage IT demand with the business, negotiating expectations to ensure alignment with IT strategy, architecture and delivery capacity
- Gain broad commitment to IT across initiatives from senior leaders across all relevant business units, using specialist knowledge identify relevance of established or new IT services
- Proactively see opportunities through internal and external networks, for IT to deliver innovative solutions to customer issues/challenges and situations where groundbreaking technological innovations can be deployed.
