Conference and Events Assistant

We have a new and exciting full-time position available at the hotel as the Conference and Events Assistant.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Arrange all meetings, conferences and events in the hotel
- Respond to conference and events enquiries online using various portals
- Draw up contracts and confirmations
- Creating invoices for conference and accommodation bookings
- Marketing for events, special offers and the hotel
- Preparing weekly function sheets for all heads of departments
- Arrange meetings with clients to maintain relationships and to gain new business
- Answering all enquiries
- Maintain an accurate and up to date diary of all events
- Charging all meetings/events through the hotels booking system
- Assisting reception by taking/amending bookings and checking guests in/out
Weddings:
- Meet potential new wedding couples and create strong relationships with each couple
- Help create weddings to match each couples needs/wants
- Help plan their wedding from start to finish
- Create Wedding Fayres annually to help gain more business
- Assist in creating new packages and brochures
- Sending out information to perspective brides and grooms
What we are looking for:
- Someone who is organised, hard working and can multi task
- Can work on their own and as part of a team
- Who is able to work evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in an event or reception based role is desirable
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good IT skills especially using Microsoft programmes
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
