**About the role**

As a Product Owner at amicable, you will manage a small team of developers and report to the CEO who also leads the technical function.

You will define a vision for the team, craft a strategy and ensure that backlog items are created. You will possess critical thinking and leadership skills, be a good listener and a decision-maker. You will lead the technical team and be responsible for the team members’ performance and development.

You will work closely with the Scrum Master and will be accountable for project outcomes in terms of delivering a product that meets stakeholders and users’ needs.

As a Product Owner, you will:

- Manage a team of developers,
- Engage with the business to understand our customers’ requirements,
- Understand our products to be able to create product roadmaps and goals,
- Create product backlog items based on product features and goals,
- Order product backlog items ensuring that the product backlog is visible and understood,
- Support the team in delivering value and ROI,
- Liaise with business stakeholders and Scrum team members.

You will join a supportive and progressive team who is focused on outputs rather than hours sat at a desk.

**Requirements**:

- Hands-on, technical experience as a Product Owner managing a team of developers,
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, ideally gained at a scaling tech start-up,
- Ability to develop product roadmaps and translate them to the team members,
- Experience developing product features and goals,
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders,
- Experience in creating product backlog and developing user stories,
- Software development experience,
- Ideally, experience of app and web projects,
- Good verbal and written communication skills,
- Analytical skills,
- Self-motivation, ability to plan, manage and take accountability for your own workload,
- Right to work in the UK.

**What we offer**
