Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting for an HSE Advisor. You will be responsible for the HSQE functions across 3 sites.
**The job**:
- Day to day operational compliance to ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 standards
- Producing and carrying out internal audits to an audit programme
- Reviewing policies and procedures and recommend changes to current practices
- Reviewing current practices for action or change with the HSQE Manager
- Assist in the maintenance & management of the staff competency matrix.
- Produce/Deliver local HSQE Briefings.
- Produce local H&S Inspection program on sites & individuals.
- Ensure quality inspections are carried out, issues are reported and closed out
- Undertake local HSQE site inspections as programmed.
- Provide first line HSQE support for Project & Site Managers.
- Assist with employee inductions with regard to HSQE functions.
- Continually identify and diagnose where compliance is required across the site / company.
- Delivery of aspects to put in place compliance activity where it is otherwise absent or unsatisfactory.
- Responsible for compiling company Risk Assessments.
- Deliver company briefing and tool box talks at local level
- Managing and updating of all ISO 9001 documentation and to lead the ISO / internal and RISQS audits.
- In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager assess / create and implement core SOP’s and best working practices for the Supply and Operations functions.
- Become an approved Internal Auditor and work as part of the internal audit team.
- Completion of supplier assessment packs (HSQE sections).
- Act as site expert on Intelex and perform basic internal training to staff.
**The person**:
- HSQE Experience (5 years in a previous H&S, Environmental or Quality Role)
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- IOSH Membership or equivalent
- Internal Auditor Training
- Communications skills suited to relating customers and colleagues.
- Report writing in clear and concise English
- Ability to self-motivate, manage and organise own activities and projects
