MWH Treatment is seeking a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join their SHEQ team on a project basis. Based in the Severn Trent region, this role will focus on providing day-to-day H&S support and contributing to the development of the regional safety strategy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Support Project Team Compliance**: Assist the project team in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and implementing HSE guidance and best practices.
  • **Site Audits and Inspections**: Conduct systematic audits and inspections of the construction site to verify compliance with legislative requirements and health and safety management systems.
  • **Health and Safety Monitoring**: Monitor the satisfactory resolution of health and safety problems and investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and learning points.
  • **Risk Assessment and Control**: Assist the project team in preparing risk assessments and identifying suitable control measures as needed.
  • **Safety Documentation**: Assist in the development and maintenance of safety-related documentation, including manuals, procedures, guidance notes, and forms.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement**: Liaise with clients, HSE Inspectors, and external assessors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • **Internal and External Relationships**: Foster strong relationships with the site team, clients, and external stakeholders to promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • **Health and Safety Culture Development**: Support the project team in creating a positive health and safety culture and contribute to the development of the regional safety strategy.
