SHEQ Advisor Position Overview

A key role within our client's project management teams, the SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for upholding the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across all projects. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing SHEQ policies and procedures
  2. Coordinating accident and incident reporting and investigations
  3. Ensuring compliance with COSHH procedures and site preparation for new projects
  4. Implementing CDM procedures and coordinating toolbox talks and safety reports
Quality Management:

The SHEQ Advisor will also be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing quality management systems and procedures
  2. Ensuring client satisfaction and managing quality reports
  3. Coordinating risk assessments and environmental management policies and procedures
  4. Ensuring compliance with human resource management policies and procedures
  5. Maintaining safety office facilities and equipment
SHEQ Advisor Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, the SHEQ Advisor will require:

  1. A HND in Civil Engineering or Construction or equivalent
  2. A minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  3. Experience within the tunnelling and mining industry or a similar sector
  4. Experience in a quality control role on a major project
  5. Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Experience with lifting equipment and site-based work
SHEQ Advisor Position Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £60k, car allowance, 23 days holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays, discretionary company bonus, death in service 4 x salary, pension 5% company 4% employee, and best practice / safety awards paid with vouchers.
