SHEQ Advisor Position Overview

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor to join their team in the northern operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures
  2. Conduct accident and incident investigations and reporting
  3. Manage COSHH procedures and site preparation for new projects
  4. Coordinate toolbox talks and produce flash safety reports
  5. Implement CDM procedures and ensure compliance
Quality Management:
  1. Develop and implement training programs for staff
  2. Monitor client satisfaction and feedback
  3. Prepare management reports and risk assessments
  4. Develop and implement environmental management policies and procedures
  5. Develop and implement human resource management policies and procedures
  6. Ensure safety office maintenance and compliance
Requirements:
  1. Desirable HND in Civil Engineering or Construction
  2. Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  3. Experience in the tunnelling and mining industry is highly beneficial
  4. Experience in a Quality Control role on a major project
  5. Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  6. Strong communication and collaboration skills
  7. Experience with lifting equipment
  8. Ability to work on site and liaise with main contractors and site staff
Remuneration:

Salary: up to £60k
Car allowance
23 days holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays
Discretionary company bonus
Death in Service 4 x salary
