About the Role

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Pharmacy Quality Assurance Lead. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and safety of aseptically prepared medicines within our organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the local implementation and operation of the Quality Management System across various areas, including Pharmacy Aseptic Services, Quality Control Laboratory, and UHDB Nuclear Medicine Services.

Key responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, such as the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services, and Good Manufacturing Practice.

The ideal candidate will possess a science degree or equivalent, post-qualification specialist knowledge and experience to postgraduate level, and demonstrable GMP experience. They will also have significant post-qualification experience in hospital or pharmaceutical practice in specialist pharmacy Quality Assurance/Control services or specialist aseptic services.
