An exciting opportunity for a skilled leader in the field of ED&I to establish an Anti-Racism Hub and lead a 12-month programme of transformative change.

To lead & manage the LWH Anti
- Racism hub and deliver a 12-month programme of transformative cultural change ensuring that staff & patients from the global majority have a positive experience of LWH.

To identify a clear strategic vision and put in place the infrastructure and delivery mechanisms to deliver ambitious goals to further LWH’s strategic vision of being a truly inclusive employer & exemplar anti-racist employer.
- To establish the Anti-Racism Hub project team & provide operational and strategic line management of the team.
- To oversee the delivery of an organisation wide survey on race & culture and use the outputs to establish a 12-month programme of activity to enhance and extend activities with a focus on race, to foster opportunity and eliminate discrimination for both staff & patients at LWH.
- To have strategic oversight of the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda for both staff & patients, ensuring ED&I is integrated into the organisation from Board to Ward. To lead a range of work programmes which aim to increase diversity and promote inclusive leadership at all levels of the organisation.
- To form relationships with key stakeholders in the Divisions and Trust Board to ensure that the priorities of the role are prominently represented in Divisional People Plans and Trust strategies.
- Represent the Trust at local & regional meetings relating to the scope of the role, deputising for the Deputy Chief People Officer/Chief People Officer as required.

Staff engagement is at the core of our Putting People First Strategy. You will ensure that the activities across the People Directorate and within the divisions are co-ordinated, focused and delivering results.

As a senior HR / L&D / OD professional you will have expertise in one or more of these specialist areas combined with experience at a senior level within the workforce arena.

You will have the ability to establish immediate credibility, engage stakeholders internal and external to the organisation and will be able to influence at senior leadership and board level. As a dynamic change agent you will be able to set strategic direction as well as operationally deliver and get things done.

You will also provide effective leadership for your HR sub-team, with a focus on empowerment and engagement and should have previous line management experience.
