We’re offering a variety of exciting opportunities for project management professionals to join us and take a central role in the delivery of our change programme. We are recruiting to roles in transformation teams within specific services as well as our council-wide core business transformation team.

We are recruiting to the following roles:
As Project Lead, you will be at the forefront of successful delivery of the transformation agenda, providing strong project management across a complex programme of change.

You will be working on programmes of strategic significance to the council that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. From development of plans to implementation you will drive progress, managing actions to time and on budget and ensuring quality throughout.

Working at the heart of multi-disciplinary project teams, you will engage with services to determine their business requirements, define and scope change initiatives, manage risks and issues and lead effective delivery against agreed outcomes.

You will have in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and practices, highly effective interpersonal skills and strong analytical ability. You will understand the challenges facing local government and the wider public sector. You will bring significant experience working in a project management environment, including collaborating on change projects focused on the best outcomes for customers, managing budgets and supervising staff to achieve the best from your team.

As Project Officer you will contribute to the successful delivery of the transformation agenda. You will work flexibly as part of a wider programme team driving delivery of varied and complex projects to meet the needs of the council, as well as partners.

You will support service reviews and design of change proposals, as well as ongoing project plans, risk and benefits registers and stakeholder management plans. You will work flexibly within multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with partner organisations.

You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of project management methodologies and practices. You will have significant experience in a project management environment, including collaborating on change projects focused on the best outcomes for customers, managing resources and supervising staff.

As Project Support Officer, you will support the transformation agenda helping to deliver project plans across a complex programme of change.

You will work within multi-disciplinary teams, across different services and partner organisations, providing project support in accordance with approved business cases, project plans and programmes.

You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and practices, with an understanding of change programmes focused on delivering the best outcomes for customers.
