**Your Role**:
You will be responsible for the day to day running and staff of 2 Harrow Street services, both services are supported living services, and are home to 5 individuals we support, as a service leader you will ensure that everyone we support has the means to express their needs and wishes and ensure they clearly recorded and shared with all members of the team, as well as making sure that the best interests of each person we support is at the centre of any decisions made about their life, and to work in partnership with them, their advocates, family, friends, and significant others
**Who we are**:
Harrow Street has several supported living service, providing a homely environment for individuals, with learning disabilities. Our team provides support to individuals we support with a diverse range of needs from low level support, including prompting/supervision with medication, shopping, domestic tasks, through to full support with all aspects of day to day living which will include supporting someone with their personal care needs and the cooking and preparing of meals.
**About you**:
- Have an NVQ L3 in Health & Social Care, or relevant qualification.
- Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community
- Good communication skills, patience, and flexibility
- An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support
- To be able to undertake a flexible working pattern.
- To be confident, able to deal with stressful situations & can think on your feet.
to be a ‘people person’ who enjoys building relationships and motivating others to reach their full potential.
- Flexibility, a ‘can do’ attitude and a sense of humour is a must too work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people or those with complex needs and have experience and/ or a passion for enhancing individuals’ quality of life through positive behaviour support.
- To support the management and take the lead in service delivery, you will be expected to carry out daily tasks as well as senior duties.
