**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:

- The role will be to provide generalist HR support to the HR team. To ensure that HR systems and files are maintained accurately and to liaise with third party providers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accuracy & maintenance of personnel records
- Maintenance of all systems including computerized and manual systems
- Ensure right to work documentation is established for all new employees and received in HR on or before the start date.
- Advise managers as necessary on the appropriate documents required
- Manage the starter & leaver processes for all site employees
- Process all changes to contract data in the Master Spreadsheet in conjunction with the HR Business Partner and produce letters for all changes to contracts
- Administer all paperwork in a timely manner during the employee lifecycle
- Support the line manager in conducting all investigations, ensuring both company policy and legislative procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the HR team in absence, disciplinary and grievance meetings by providing minutes.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all HR databases are maintained whilst keeping up to date the Deeside Cereals document management system
- Book travel and accommodation as required in the most cost effective way possible, reviewing internet options, liaising with traveller and agents until booking is confirmed
- Administer all monthly payroll changes in a timely manner
- Manage and administer the long service awards scheme
- Manage, measure and report on absence statistics
- Providing the Head of HR with the Working Time Directive report each week
- Shift Pattern Maintenance
- Updating the HR noticeboards
- Ensure compliance with employment law regulations such as Working Time Regulations and Data Protection Act
- Ensure compliance with reporting and RTW procedures
- Provide cover on reception / switchboard as required
- The job holder is required to do all tasks considered as relevant by their line manager
- Responsible for Food Safety, Quality and Legality

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Previous experience within a HR function is desirable
- Ideally with CIPD L3 qualification or working towards it
- Knowledge of employment law
- Highly computer literate and experience of all MS packages, particularly word, excel and powerpoint
- Experience of working within a highly confidential environment.
- Communication skills - able to communicate at all levels in organisation
- Able to prioritise own workload and work under pressure
- Experience of working alongside line managers to conduct investigations is desirable
- Ability to coordinate work and prioritise
- Independent action in the organisation of own work programme
