**About you**:
**The role**:
As the Compliance and Due Diligence Officer you will:

- Complete compliance monitoring reviews, including terms of reference, testing, establishing materiality of findings and supporting stakeholders to understand the importance
- Complete robust due diligence on debt purchases, including reviews of regulatory and customer documentation, understand and articulate where accounts are outside of Lantern’s policy or risk appetite.
- Produce quality written reports that communicate findings and risks in a clear and concise manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to maintain the credibility of Lantern’s 2nd line of defence
- Assist the Head of Compliance and Due Diligence to create content for relevant committees.
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business functions through effective communication. Develop and sustain a sound understanding of key legislation and regulation pertinent to Lantern (FCA, ICO, OFCOM etc.) and keep abreast of industry changes.
- Champion a culture of compliance and support the first line of defence to understand and mitigate its risks
