**MAIN ROLE FOCUS**:
Lead on our East Herts **Active Local **delivery. Deliver our **Forever Cycling **project and our
**Sele Youth Club **project and play a leading role in the management of the **Hertford Wellbeing**
**Hub**

**LOCATION**:We operate a flexible approach to work with a mix of home based work and presence in East Hertfordshire with specific time spent on the Sele Estate in Hertford.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Delivery of the **Active Local **project in East Hertfordshire. Active Local is a place-based approach to tackling inequalities and reducing inactivity in areas of most deprivation in

Hertfordshire. There are 10 active local areas in Hertfordshire with one area per district.
The Sele Farm is the focus area for East Hertfordshire which is where your focus will be
- Deliver weekly **Forever Cycling **sessions in East Hertfordshire. This is physical delivery in existing sessions.
- Project manage our **Sele Youth club **initiative including promotion of the club and delivery planning.
- Day to day point of contact and management of the **Hertford Wellbeing Hub **on Sele

Farm, including managing bookings and point of contact for lead stakeholders.
- Writing evaluation reports when required of the projects you are responsible for.
- Identifying new opportunities to expand current provision, or initiate new provision to

address a priority area of the team.
- Establish a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and partners. We have a number of existing relationships in East Hertfordshire you will be expected to manage and develop.
- Lead on promoting sessions with an understanding of marketing and social media.

**GENERAL DUTIES**:
In addition, all staff have the following general duties laid out in their job descriptions:

- Required to attend a number of Herts Sports Partnership events at the University of

Hertfordshire including a full day on Thursday 13th October
- Required to support your Active Local area’s winter/easter/summer half term camps as well as one off Herts Sports Partnership events and initiatives.
- To deliver and develop targets outlined in AITC’s strategic plan.
- To contribute and assist in AITC’s planning processes and the review of its performance and systems.
- Contribute to the positive and professional image of AITC.
- To observe and uphold the requirements of the Company’s Constitution and act at all times in accordance with policies including equality of opportunity.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate for the grade and responsibilities of the post that may from time to time be reasonably requested.
- Where you are required to work with volunteers you must support and manage them appropriately in line with the AITC volunteer policy.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**
- Ability to physically deliver sessions to an older adult audience
- Experience of working to targets supporting the strategy of an organisation and successfully completing projects
- An understanding on the importance of physical activity to people's health
- Experience working and collaborating with organisations, services and different communities
- Ability to work as part of a team and self-motivated to work individually
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
- Ability to use your own initiative, develop new ideas and broker new relationships.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

**Desirable**
- Sports development and/or experience in one of the following fields: Public Health,

Project Management, Social Media and Marketing
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Geographical knowledge of Hertford
- Knowledge of health and safety with experience of risk assessments, maintenance and safety inspections of equipment and facilities
- Facility management experience

Highly organised with ability to prioritise a heavy workload, manage tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure.
