We are recruiting for an experienced Payment Specialist to join our Finance team for a minimum of 12 months. It’s an exciting time within Finance as our transformation, resilience and efficiency plans pick up. This role will play a pivotal role in the delivery of these plans working alongside the Banking & Payments Operations Manager.

The team you will be joining, The Banking & Payments Operations Team

You will be joining the Payments Team which consists of 2 Payment Specialist and 2 Payment Consultants. Payments is an ever-evolving team which work closely with the Societies Banking Team ensuring customer payments are handled with care and consideration, but it doesn’t stop there We are also a skilled team who require a deep understanding of the societies payment processes and functionality, ensuring we are adhering to the wider Payment Industries Regulations, looking at innovations and continuous improvements making the customer journey a good one_._

What Will You Be Doing?
- Working with all areas of the Society to ensure all aspects of Payments is understood providing guidance and understanding where necessary.
- Promoting and Assisting change to ensure the Society meet all Payment Regulations
- Play an active role in the Payment Industry, this could include travelling to payment events and meeting with other parts of the industry to ensure we are kept up to date with all changes and regulations on the horizon.

What Do We Need From You?
- It is a requirement to have an excellent understanding of the Payment Industry and how these work, an understanding of payment regulations and scheme rules would be required.
- Self-motivated and able to work both individually and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
