Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a small specialist niche Engineering design and build contractor who deliver projects for both municipal and industrial clean water, and wastewater treatment. They specialise in the Mechanical & Electrical products and services for water clients throughout the UK. Due to continuous growth and project awards, they are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

You will be joining a small commercial team where you will be responsible for the training and support of an Assistant QS.

You will be working on a flexible hybrid basis with requirement to travel into their head office in Skipton 2 -3 days a week.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager your and role and responsibilities include.

* Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company.

* Provide the delivery teams with commercial support (Change management process and contractual/commercial advice).

* Production and monthly updating of the project out-turn forecast and incoming/outgoing cashflow forecasts with PM support.

* Preparation and production of monthly commercial reports in line with company procedures.

* Management of Subcontract accounts including preparation of Payment Certificates and administration of change management.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

* Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management preferred but not essential.

* Practical application of the NEC form of contract is desired but not essential.

* Strong commercial awareness.

* Water industry preferred but would consider construction and civil engineering backgrounds
