Job Title: Leaving Care Advisor

Hours: Monday to Friday - 9 to 5pm

**Job Description**:
As a Leaving Care Advisor, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a caseload of young people aged 16 and above who are eligible for leaving care services. Your primary objective will be to facilitate a successful transition to adulthood by providing comprehensive support across practical, personal, emotional, social, and financial domains.

Key Responsibilities:

- Caseload Management: Manage and support a designated caseload of young people, ensuring their needs are identified and addressed effectively.
- Transition Support: Provide guidance and coordination to enable care leavers to transition successfully into adulthood, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with care leavers to motivate and support them in engaging with education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Practical Assistance: Offer practical assistance and advice to care leavers, including help with housing, finances, and accessing essential services.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to help care leavers build resilience and develop essential life skills for independent living.
- Safety and Well-being: Act as the primary professional contact for care leavers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall welfare are prioritized.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working with young people in a social care or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with vulnerable individuals.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies regarding leaving care services.
