**Job summary**:
The Infantry Training Centre (ITC) delivers Infantry basic training and initial trade training and is based in Catterick Garrison. The ITC consists of three units; 1st and 2nd Infantry Training Battalions and a Support Battalion all collocated along with Headquarters School of Infantry. The 1st and 2nd Battalions undertake the Combat Infantry Course (CIC) for all recruits, who wish to join the Infantry whether regular or reserve.

We deliver training which covers everything from developing a civilian arriving with no military experience into a trained, confident Infantry soldier.

Whilst military training is undertaken by highly skilled and experienced members of the Army, we are supported by almost 200 Ministry of Defence (MOD) Civil Servants along with a number of Defence contractors. We are in roles from drivers to HR Clerks and storekeepers to tutors

We currently have four Administrative Clerk vacancies within the Regimental Administration Office at 2ITB, from Mil Admin iHub, Mil Admin Recruit and CTC.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

**Job description**:
**Main Job Description**:
To provide administrative and clerical support to the Recruits and Permanent Staff at 2nd Infantry Training Battalion (2ITB) as required, utilising the various systems and software packages available to us, Joint Personnel Administration (JPA), Defence Gateway (MyAdmin), National Security Vetting (NSV) for Counter Terrorism Check (CTC), Defence Recruiting System (DRS).

This role covers all Human Resources (HR) Administration processes as well as providing cover to other HR posts as and when required.

**Army Admin Clerk iHub and Recruit Main Duties**:

- Activate Assignment Orders for Staff and Recruits on arrival in Unit.
- Act as the initial point of contact for all personnel admin related queries from subunit personnel and advise them and/or signpost accordingly.
- Maintain and update JPA personnel administration data for all subunit personnel according to reported personal occurrences on MyAdmin (less self-service functions) as directed, including advice and interpretation of all common personnel, finance and assurance policies.
- Provide advice to unit personnel on eligibility and submission processes of, allowances and expenses.
- Support unit casualty reporting and compassionate activities as directed, by ensuring EC/NoK assurance checks are conducted monthly.
- Conduct monthly management checks and process error rectification as detailed in unit G1A matrix.

Carry out any other clerical/administrative duties required by the RAO or Asst RAO

- Maintain CTC spreadsheet to record progress and updates for higher formation.
