Working as part of the Training team and reporting to the Training Manager; the Training and Support Consultant role focuses on providing software training and support to our customers. Additional duties include supporting the wider Local Government (LG) Client Services team with demonstrations and other pre-sales tasks.

Oxford Computer Consultants have a number of highly successful products which we sell into the Public Sector. These products help Local Authorities to manage their contracts, commissioning, finance and quality monitoring.

**Key Duties of a Training and Support Consultant**:

- **Product training (60%)**:Providing high quality training to our customers.**Training delivery**: Running multi-day sessions, either online or in-person, to both new and existing customers. Topics can range from covering the basic use of OCC software, to more advanced courses such as report writing or optional modules.

**Training development**: Maintaining and updating existing course materials, to include new features and changes in processes. Developing new courses, based on new developments, or identifying gaps in our current delivery. Helping to expand our new growing range of digital self-led eLearning courses.

**Consultancy**: Consulting with customers, either online or in-person, to help them get the most out of using OCC software. Most commonly during the Go-Live phase, but also optionally for post-live advice.
- **LG Client Services support (15%)**: Assisting the wider Client Services team.**Demonstrations**: Assisting the sales team with demonstrations of OCC software capabilities to potential and existing OCC customers.

**Pre-sales support**: Helping the sales team with collating and writing tender responses and participating in campaigns for new products and modules.
- **Miscellaneous duties (5%)**: Supporting other teams within OCC with duties like those listed above.**Essential requirements**:

- Experience of training small to medium (< 15) sized groups on software products.
- Technical troubleshooting and investigative skills.
- Writing training documentation / materials.
- Willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge of our products.
- Ability to work as part of a busy training and support team.
- Experience with using Microsoft Office products.

**Desirable requirements**:

- Training qualification / accreditation.
- Experience of editing graphics, videos, and/or audio.
- Experience of working with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
- Experience working within or alongside social care and/or local government finance.
- Experience of contracts and finance management systems.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.

Whilst most of our work is done remotely, there may be occasional need to be present on-site with multiple overnight stays. As such, a willingness to travel is required for this role.
