**Entry Level Purchase Ledger Assistant**
£22,000 - £24,000

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full Time ( Office Based )

Location: Rugeley

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Our client is seeking a forward thinking and determined individual who is looking to develop a career in an Accounts based role. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support our Finance Team and contribute to their continued success.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining the purchase ledger
- Raising invoices and processing purchase orders
- Conducting bank reconciliation
- Monitoring shipments and performing duty VAT calculations
- Managing import documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of calculations and payments
- Responding to information requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing reports and assisting with month-end and year-end processes

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Providing ad hoc financial administrative support
- Assisting with various financial tasks as required
- Collaborating with team members to achieve departmental goals

**Experience & Education**:

- AAT qualification or willingness to study towards it preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP accountancy software advantageous
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Educated to GCSE standard (5+ including Maths and English)
