- have a comprehensive understanding of the EYFS and inspection Framework and also the non statutory Birth to Five and Development Matters guidance.
- understand the importance of following comprehensive safeguarding and child protection procedures to keep all children safe and promote their well being.
- have an ability to work independently and part of an experienced and friendly staff team.
- be able to maintain professional relationships with parents, carers and external partner agencies.
- have a love of outdoors and understand the benefits of outdoor learning on children's health and emotional well being.
- to understand the planning cycle and implement opportunities and experiences to meet the needs, interests and experiences of individual children.
- to understand and follow nursery policies and procedures
- have a nurturing disposition, offering comfort and warmth to all children.
- to be a key person to a group of children.

The position available is for
- 35-40 hours per week Monday to Friday or 20-25 hours per week Monday
- Friday
- Basic hours 8.45am -3.45pm or 8.45am -1.15pm
- 38 weeks per year
- some additional hours maybe required for Breakfast club and After Nursery Club
- there is flexibility to work in the Activity school that runs in some of the holidays
