**Job description**

To work at a friendly and independently owned café in the popular, busy market town of Thirsk.

You will work at the heart of the business and must bring great energy and passion for our industry and love quality food and drink.

**Responsibilities**:
Day to day running of kitchen including food preparation, good hygiene, cleaning and baking our homemade cakes and scones and including pre ordered items too.

Must work well with other members of the team.

Will be required to take food orders to customers and clear plates if needed.

Keeping the café to a high hygiene standard.

Ordering and making sure we have enough stock for each day.

Skills needed:
Some experience in hospitality preferable but not essential. In either a kitchen environment or working front of house.

Must have a good attitude and eager to learn new skills.

Great communication skills with customers, and other members of staff, must be able to work as a team player.

Great energy and passion for local food and the environment.

Reliable, punctual and have a good attention to detail.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
