About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at We Care Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement healthy and balanced meal plans in consultation with residents and staff.
  • Ensure that all dietary requirements are met, including religious and cultural backgrounds.
  • Assist with food preparation, including loading trollies and ensuring prompt collection.
  • Work under the direction of the cook to prepare meals and assist with baking.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand as required.
  • Ensure all washed items are clean and dry before putting them away.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and putting away delivered items promptly.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews.
  • Induct new starters in accordance with We Care Group policy.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals you support.
