**Role Overview**

Bupa Global provides international private medical insurance products and services for people anywhere in the world, whether at home or when studying, living, travelling, or working abroad. As Head of Architecture for Bupa Global you’ll help to support their business strategy by leading the definition and alignment of delivery for technology architecture to ensure the IT strategy aligns with the overall business strategy.

**What you’ll do**:

- Ensure that the technology architecture within Bupa Global aligns with the IT strategy and supports the overall business strategy
- Ensure that the existing architecture artefacts are up to date and accurately reflect Bupa Global’s as-is state
- Define the to-be state of architecture, ensuring it aligns with the overall Business and IT strategies and defining transition states to achieve target architecture
- Carry out research and manage POC’s/Pilots to drive innovation that solves real business problem and delivers real business value
- Monitors/analyses industry trends and presents the business with the ‘art of the possible’ to ensure Bupa Global understands the business value of emerging technologies
- Responsible for overseeing the decisions on the technologies that Bupa Global will utilise and ensuring that stakeholders are fully engaged.
- Be an active member of the Bupa Global Design Authority and ensure that the other members of understand the technology impacts of decisions made

**What you’ll bring**:

- A proven track record in leading the definition and alignment of delivery of technology architecture.
- Extensive experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders up to, and including, Executive level.
- The ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership with the ability to build, develop, lead, and motivate teams.
- Experience and high level of understanding of risk and technology security management.
- A TOGAF or Zachman certification (desired).
- Experience of using architectural such as Archimate or Sparx EA (desired).
- Exposure to a variety of technology landscapes - including Microsoft Platforms (desired)
