**Initial Teacher Training Project Lead**

**About the role**

Star Institute is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to develop school engagement in Initial Teacher Training (ITT) across its three Teaching School Hubs in the North West. The role will include a scoping exercise to review school engagement, the development of a strategy to increase school participation with local and national ITT providers and its successful implementation. The role is ideal for leaders with experience of ITT and those who have successfully led large-scale projects across multiple schools.

You will be working for one of the highest performing multi-academy trusts in the country with 20,000 pupils in over 30 schools.

**Who we’re looking for**

You will provide operational capacity and strategic direction, utilising the skills and experience needed to support schools to participate in ITT. Through excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be able to effectively engage a broad range of stakeholders. You will have a thorough working knowledge of ITT including the Core Content Framework, provider delivery and the role of schools in trainee placements, mentoring and assessment. A team player, who is also able to work independently, you will be able to prioritise a busy workload to consistently meet deadlines.

**You will have**:

- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of education leadership
- Experience of ITT
- Excellent knowledge of the Core Content Framework
- Strong commitment to the Trust values of ‘Service’, ‘Teamwork’, ‘Ambition’ and ‘Respect’
