Technical Assistant

**Scope / Purpose of Role**:
The purpose of the role is to support the teams with administrative tasks. The Technical Assistant is to develop, maintain existing and deliver effective systems and processes to monitor, highlight, and improve product quality and food safety within the business.
**Reports into**: Site Technical and Compliance Manager
**Direct reports**: None
**Key Stakeholders**: Technical Manager, Senior Quality Manager, Quality Managers, Hygiene Managers, Shift Leaders and Team Leaders
**Key Result Areas**:
- Management of KPI data to ensure fully up-to-date and accurate.
- Completion of the Technical KPI reports (both internal and external).
- Manage the customer complaints database and follow up on investigations and close-outs with relevant stakeholders.
- Carry out document control as required.
- Maintenance of database for all internal compliance audits and gap analysis and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collate, analyse and identify trends in technical compliance data particularly around gap analysis and internal requirements to meet customer code of practices and standards.
- Maintenance to all Technical compliance requirements for Integrity, Allergens, TACCP, HACCP and VACCP in conjunction with Quality Managers.
- Support the Technical storage management both electronical and physical.
- Data entry and management as required.
- Providing administrative support as required including minute taking.
- Actively engage in team projects and site activities.
- When required, auditing to ensure standards inside and outside the factory are of the highest standards.
- Assisting with any required role supporting the Technical functions.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**
**Qualifications**:
- No formal qualifications required. Full training will be given.
- Food science related qualifications would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of GMPs, BRCGS and HACCP would be advantageous.
**Skills**:
- Fast and accurate typing skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and a basic understanding of web based database systems, Power BI.
- Good communication skills are important for successful verbal, written, and non-verbal interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Being flexible to adapt to changes and consistently meet the requirements of the role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Take ownership and accountability to achieve the required standards.
- Positive demeanour and can-do attitude.
- Good time management to remain productive and organized meeting deadlines at all times.
- A willingness to work flexibly and follow instruction appropriately.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Significant level of experience with Microsoft software.
