Rehabilitation Receptionist/data Clerk

We are seeking a new member to join our small reception team in the Rehabilitation Department at Pilgrim Hospital and Johnson Hospital, Spalding. Our services include in patient, out patient and community Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Rehabilitation Receptionist / Data Clerk
Band 2 Full Time
The post-holder will primarily be in a patient facing role which includes welcoming upon arrival, booking in, managing the waiting room and booking follow-up appointments with people following treatment. You will need to have exemplary customer service skills in order to undertake this role effectively. An understanding of the impact of illness and disability would be advantageous in order for you to be confident in this role. You will need to have clear communication skills and be able to converse confidently with people who may have limitation to speech or understanding.
You will be required to input large amounts of data onto the rehabilitation service software which is used to provide accounts of patient contact and therefore the income and reporting for the department. This role requires accuracy of using a computer and a working use of Microsoft office. This may be in an office as a lone worker or alongside reception duties.
In summary we are seeking someone with exemplary communication and customer care skills, is competent with computer use and has the ability to quickly learn the rehabilitation specific element of data inputting. A GCSE English Language and Maths Grade C (or equivalent) plus two other GCSE’s is the minimum academic requirement. Job Purpose
To provide a professional, efficient reception service for the Rehabilitation Department,
assisting and directing patients and their carers on arrival at the department.
Booking appointments for patients, processing referrals and booking transport for patients.
To input patient activity data to the Rehabilitation computer system.
Answering the telephone and assisting with general administrative duties.
