E Roster Coordinator

An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month fixed term contract as the e roster coordinator, in Maternity.
You will lead on the day to day management of the e roster within maternity services. Ensure that any gaps within the roster are offered out to midwives, support workers and ward clerks who are part of the temporary staffing service (TSS) as is required to support safety and quality within the department. This will include review of the skill mix in each area and meeting the bank needs of the departments in accordance with the Trust guidelines, policies and procedures.
You will work closely with the ward managers within maternity, on a day to day basis.
1. Act as booking lead for all TSS bookings within Maternity, including Allied Health Professionals and Admin and clerical, ensuring work is undertaken in accordance with agreed Trust guidelines and procedures. This will include liaising with managers and senior colleagues to ensure authorisation for bookings has been requested and approved.
2. Oversee the team’s daily tasks and work with the ward/roster managers to escalate any issues with deficits in the staffing.
3. Attend weekly/daily staffing meetings as well as any other ad hoc meetings as and when required.
4. Monitor the concerns, DNA’s and late cancellations reports and review alongside the ward managers in order to ensure these are managed and are in line with trust process.
5. Work alongside the ward managers to ensure that all bookings are recorded on the e roster correctly and corresponds with payment information.
6. Assist in project work as directed e.g. obtaining information from various sources, collation and reporting of data, assisting in the production of reports and other documents.
7. To produce and distribute information to the ward managers for NHSI returns as well as other additional reports in a timely manner.
8. Maintain an up to date knowledge of recruitment related employment law.
