**The Role**
Building on Norfolk Citizens Advices extensive experience of supporting people in crisis across the county we have an exciting vacancy to join our Crisis & Energy Department working with clients facing a range of issues and assisting people in crisis.
These roles provide the opportunity to help hundreds of people to cope with the current cost of living and energy crisis.
This role will cover the Kings Lynn area of Norfolk.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to show empathy and build rapport
- Ability to deal with a variety of challenging situations
- Experience of working with a wide variety of people
- A positive attitude and enjoy working in a team
- Ability to problem solve
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office)

**What we are looking for**
**We will provide full training**.
However, we will favour applicants who demonstrate the following experience:
- Knowledge of a range of advice issues and an ability to identify safeguarding concerns and how to make onward referrals to the appropriate authority
- Knowledge of specific advice issues relating to welfare benefits (including Universal Credit), Debt, Housing and Employment
- Good IT knowledge and an ability to support clients to access information using IT systems
- Previous experience as an accredited adviser in a similar work environment
- Experience of supporting volunteers
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
**Salary**: £23,343.00 per year
