Event Supervisor/Administrator.

Shilstone House is a lovingly restored Grade II listed Georgian Manor House, on a 500 acre estate in the Devon countryside, with uninterrupted views of the rolling hills and fields and distant views of the sea.

The journey of a wedding day begins with drinks outside the house for guests to meet followed by the ceremony taking place in the Great Barn or in front of the house in the East Garden. Following the ceremony the bride and groom enter the house for cocktails and canapes, also to be enjoyed in the surrounding gardens. Then wander through to the 17th century walled garden filled with flowers and trees, where dinner, speeches and evening party will take place.

Job Summary;
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Wedding Supervisor to join our team. The Wedding Supervisor will work alongside our Event Manager and be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet the expectations of our clients and guests. This role requires excellent communication and time management skills, as well as a strong ability to organize staff and oversee areas of the event.

Responsibilities;
- Coordinate logistics.
- Organise event staff to work efficiently.
- Oversee event setup ensuring all elements are in place and meet quality standards.
- Provide exceptional guest services throughout the event, addressing any concerns of issues that may arise.
- Perform some office administration.

Requirements;
- Proven experience as an Event Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Time management abilities to meet deadlines and ensure events run smoothly.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations during events.

Typically weddings are held on Fridays and Saturdays with the occasional wedding on a Wednesday.

The shift would be about 9.30am to about 6.30pm.

This is a self employed position.

Please note there is no public transport to Shilstone.
