Site Supervisor

**JOB PURPOSE**
To supervise the site ensuring a safe working environment whilst managing all production, operational, and health and safety requirement. To develop staff ensuring adequate competency and training levels. Contribute to managing the site budget.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** Health and Safety - **Induct all visitors and contractors upon arrival to site to safeguard they always adhere to the respective site health and safety rules. Complete time out forms, risk assessments, SSOW before any task are performed, manage, and control any contractors working on site. Ensure that all current legislation, company procedures and policies are adhered to. Undertake Daily, weekly, and monthly HSEQ inspections whilst ensuring site, plant, facilities are in a clean, safe working condition. Timely reporting of any accident and incidents to the area production manager, accident management / investigations as required in line with current reporting procedures. Identify and report any near misses. Building and developing an effective team through clear day to day communication, allowing the workforce to provide input into the decision making and creating an environment where two-way feedback is accepted and encouraged.
- ** Production**:
- Use forward planning and record for the understanding of staffing / equipment requirements. Manage all orders to production and dispatch. quality and quantity of employee productivity including bag sealing, stacking, presentation, and elimination of contamination. Manage the maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment to reduce cost to 3rd party hire due to breakdowns. Prioritise, organise, and manage maintenance to ensure production is not compromised. When 3rd parties are required on site liaise with them to minimise disruption to production. Using action planning to expedite the site, equipment and health and safety.
- ** Staffing** - Plan and manage effective utilization of staff to ensure adequate cover in the event of absence and / or holiday. Organise recruitment and placement of staff. Where possible delegate task and responsibilities through other capable of doing more on site. Plan overtime. Supervise staff and monitor individual performance including staff development goals with immediate reports and ensuring what is agreed is carried out and completed in timescale set. Assist in any disciplinary action when required on site, supporting whilst maintaining standards and fairness. Ensure all staff hours are updated on payroll sheets daily.
- ** People / Training** - Provide training, coaching, support, and assistance to all direct reports helping their development and progression within the GRS group. Formulate and ensure plans for training and continual improvement of staff are implemented. Check all employees are fully trained and assessed before operating any plant and machinery and records of this are stored in the relevant folder / drives. Undertake at least one toolbox talk every month and ensure a signed record is save in H drive.
- ** Communication**:
- Provide effective management support to the area production manager as required including daily and weekly Site, Production and HSEQ reports, the roll out of toolbox talks, information and initiatives. Daily reporting via teams of loads produced and stock quantities accessible by sale team and transport teams.
- ** Stock Control** - Manage stock levels ensure adequate material on site to match sales volumes. Maintain adequate stock of decorative / transferred material reducing the need for low volume transfers, identify and maintain optimum stock level of empty bulk and mini bags. Complete stock counts at the end of each month and daily stock on shared drive.
- ** Transport** - To communicate with our transport team on loads in production, ready to be collected as required throughout the day.
- ** Coordination and Supervision -** Close effective supervision to ensure safe and efficient running of site, working with other sites where possible to share loads as required, assisting with stock transfers, and sharing resources (where possible). Scan and send all signed POD's to the sales office daily for the confirmation of the delivered load.
- ** Financial
- **Obtain 3 quotes for any work to be undertaken, provide purchase order numbers and ensure that the PO tracker is kept updated.
- ** Sales, Marketing and Customer Service** - Assist the commercial team in any customer support requested of you. Address any complaints that you are responsible for, provide reason to the area production manager and where possible provide solutions to preven
