**Job Title**: Purchasing Coordinator

**Based at**: Unit 1 Alan Alfred Avenue, Fenton, Stoke on Trent. St4 2LY

**Position Reports to**: Operations Manager

**Job Purpose Summary**:
Ensures that the business maintains an adequate supply of necessary products, materials, and services. Organises the procurement and helps in negotiating the best price. Helps to manage overall inventory.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Understands the company product, material, and services requirements in real time.

Creates purchased orders for stock, customer orders and internal consumption in a timely manner.

Obtains necessary company purchasing sign off.

Liaises with suppliers to place orders.

Deals with any supplier price / quantity adjustments as required.

Performs comparison shopping and negotiations to secure lower prices on materials the company needs.

Seeks out high-quality products that will help the company operate smoothly and reach its goals.

Works with the Supply Chain warehouse team on any order arrival issues

Works with the Supply Chain warehouse team and finance team on any returns.

Works with the Finance team on any supplier invoice queries, adjusting, as necessary.

Works with the Finance team on stock holding and min and max values for products.

Operates as a key member of the Supply Chain team.

Works with the sales team and supply chain teams in terms of new product introduction, ensuring that launch requirements.

Uses a keen understanding of the industry to know which supplies are most important and where to look for dependable, competitively priced suppliers.

Works well under tight deadlines

Negotiates faster-than-usual delivery of needed items so the company's operations go uninterrupted.

Keeps a highly organised schedule.

Constantly looks for ways to cut back on the company's expenses.

Completes any ad hoc duties as required by the manager.

**Dimensions/Scope of the Job**:

- Customer base circa seven thousand customers
- Supplier base circa one thousand suppliers
- Core range of products ranging in price from £100 - £50000

**Specific Job Skills**:
At least 2 years’ experience of working at a similar level.

Either working towards or have CIPS qualification.

Must hold UK Drivers Licence

Sound commercial acumen.

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
