**Description**
**Payroll Specialist - Consultant**
The Payroll Specialist coordinates, analyses and performs activities related to payroll processing, administration, and compliance, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll for the UK population.
Actively involved on project teams within Payroll to analyze and develop improvements.
**Principle Accountabilities**:
- Prepare and process monthly UK payrolls for approximately 450+ employees over 5 payrolls
- Review payroll inputs from various internal sources, to ensure accurate payroll processing for multiple payrolls. (Including, New Hires, Terms, Transfers, Benefits, Variable payments &
Deductions)
- Process & reconcile interface files from Workday HR & time tracking systems.
- Maintain relationship with payroll vendor, ensuring timely input submissions & processing.
- Analyse outputs, identifying errors & reconciliation of monthly payrolls for accurate payments to CME Employees.
- Review, process, balance & reconcile payroll summaries, ensuring the computing, withholding and/or deductions associated with net pay are done properly.
- Maintain employee payroll records in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures. Maintain relationships with third-party service providers.
- Respond to ad-hoc queries (from employees, internal and external partners)
- Assist Global Payroll Manager & provide back-up with the monthly international payrolls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Ability To**:
- Organize and prioritize tasks and workload, complete multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and quality; adjust to changes in priorities and situations; complete work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
- interact in a professional manner with both internal and external customers, maintain confidentiality; appropriately handle and communicate controversial or sensitive information.
- respond to queries/enquiries promptly and courteously; identify customer needs through active listening and clarifying questions; meet commitments and check for customer satisfaction; manage difficult or emotional customer situations
**Skills and Software Requirements**:
- Experience of end to end processing of either multi
- country or multi sited payrolls.
- Ability to calculate manual payments
- Microsoft Office - **strong Excel skills required**
**Desirable**:
- Experience of Workday Systems
- International Payroll processing
- Payroll qualification - CIPP
- 3+ years payroll processing experience
- BDO Dashboard or similar process preferred
