**Position Summary**

To support with the implementation of EHS strategies in line with operational requirements, best practice and overall business objectives. This role will focus on providing full cycle Health & Safety support across the business to ensure that all new and existing employees are fully aware of the key tasks and procedural requirements of their respective job in line with key metrics of EHS.

**Essential Duties and Tasks**
- Champion a safe working environment, ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements and procedures are adhered to, providing training where necessary.
- Being a role model of our core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement & Impact
- Inspire and champion a culture where Safety First is the guiding principle in all aspects of our operation
- Ensure that all EHS procedures remain current and clearly represent the activities they describe
- Establish a regime of Safety audits and Inspections which encourage a process of ongoing improvement in environmental and safety standards
- Work closely with the Operations groups to identify and close gaps in procedural compliance
- Establish a comprehensive program of Risk Assessment for all operational activities including the closure of documentation and training needs
- Provide weekly and Monthly reports to Management on current Safety initiatives, identifying exposures and opportunities
- Lead investigations and closure of actions arising from Near Misses and other Safety Incidents
- Liaise with Corporate EHS on all reporting requirements and implementation of corporate initiatives
- Planning and providing health and safety training courses for employees and contractors as required
- Liaising with relevant authorities for advice, reporting and other legislative requirements
- Lead health and safety meetings
- Exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
- Conduct site safety walks/assessments
- Carry out all other reasonable requests.

**Key Skills & Attributes**
- Trained in accident/incident investigation
- Competent in writing SOPs and carrying out risk assessments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to manage own workload without supervision and meet deadlines
- Able to deliver briefings and TBTs to staff for site and wider Group safety policies
- Competent using Microsoft Office Tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Passionate in the promotion of good health and safety culture
- Flexible attitude required to cope with varying requirements of the role

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate qualification or higher
- Have previous experience working in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation
- Experience in carrying out and documenting risk assessments
- Experience in environmental management
- Experience of working within a corporate organisation advantageous but not essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
