**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Are you passionate about issues such as stalking, harassment and personal safety? Do you want to gain experience in both policy and campaigns in a busy and exciting team tackling current issues?

Our Policy and Campaigns team need a dynamic and efficient team-player for 1-2 days a week to help draft and deliver our communications on personal safety and stalking and undertake research on a number of projects. Research will cover a range of issues including stalking, public sexual harassment, online harms and violence and aggression in the workplace. The role will also cover social media support, as well as some admin tasks.

We are looking for a confident, people person to join our team as a Policy and Communications intern for 3 months. The role will include:

- Drafting regular tweets and Facebook updates
- Drafting social media content for the upcoming campaigns such as the anniversary of the stalking legislation on November 25th and National Personal Safety Day in early November
- Drafting press releases and contacting media for campaigns and other events
- Undertaking research on issues relating to stalking, such as the stalking legislation and attrition rates for stalking
- Conducting research around personal safety, such as harassment in the night-time economy
- Monitoring parliamentary activity surrounding stalking and personal safety policy
- Drafting blogs and other website content (use of Canva and video editing software preferable)
- Minute taking, letter-writing and attending meetings
- Administrative support of the Policy and Development team

- A willingness to learn
- Administrative skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of using social media and other online platforms
- Research skills (ideally including data collation)
- Ability to manage own workload
- IT literate in several Microsoft packages

**YOU SHOULD BE**:

- Able to commit to one to two days a week (around 7-14 hours) for at least 3 months

**WHERE ARE WE**:
We are based in the London Borough of Lambeth. You will be required to come into the office once a week.
