Business Development and Acquisition Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development and Acquisition Manager to join an organisation building brighter futures for vulnerable children.

Position: Business Development and Acquisition Manager (Trusts, Foundations & Corporates)

Location: Hybrid Working (UK based only) - Must travel to the Milton Keynes office twice per month.

Hours: Full-time - 36.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

**Salary**: circa £36,000 per annum, depending on experience good range of benefits

About the role:
Key responsibilities will include:
*Work collaboratively across several key stakeholders and their respective teams within the organisation and the wider organisation's Global Partnership (Field Offices, Regional Offices and International.

*Assess the organisation's capability and capacity to engage in selected portfolios and manage opportunities simultaneously.

*Effectively execute pre-proposal, decision-making, concept note, proposal, and project design processes in order to pursue relevant and strategically aligned funding opportunities.

About you:
We are ideally looking for a highly experienced Proposal Writer with an excellent understanding of the humanitarian and/or development theory and discourse, process, and practice, including standards relating to quality, accountability, and value for money in the aid sector.

Key skills required to succeed in this role include:
*A graduate with experience in submitting successful proposals to trusts, foundations and corporate donors. It is desired you have institutional or consortium management experience too.

*You will be a highly organised person, able to manage expectations and prioritise competing demands.

*Proactive and tenacious in identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, you know what it means to be financially astute and risk aware, with keen risk management skills, you have been proven to possess a thorough understanding of risk mitigation and management.

*You will have experience in reviewing and meeting donor technical, financial and reporting requirements and a familiarity and confidence in navigating stakeholder relationships.

*Strong relational and outstanding interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills.

*Strong administrative and organisational skills.
