We believe that every child should have a safe and happy childhood. Last year, we helped more than 671,000 children and families across the UK. We work to ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting change to their lives.

At Action for Children, we pride ourselves in being collaborative and inclusive. Are you passionate about changing the lives of children and young people to give them the best possible future?

This service is commissioned until 31 March 2025 and we expect to know more about any proposed changes to this work, over the next few months.

We provide a range of universal information and advice services, (both face to face and online) as well as more targeted work with children and families where there is a need identified for additional support. Our staff team are based in Children's Centres across South Lakeland and work with children and families in their homes, in schools and other local community venues.

As a Senior Volunteer Coordinator, you will be co-ordinating the safer recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of volunteers, ensuring they are well equipped to carry out their roles competently and confidently.
