Our client, a highly respected Higher Education establishment based in Glasgow, require an Accounts Receivable Administrator for a 3 month period. The salary for the position is £13.34 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm - 35hours per week.
**Main purpose of role**:
To provide an efficient and effective administrative support and to contribute to the smooth running of the Operational Services Section. This support will mainly focus on Accounts Receivable function ensuring accurate and complete financial transactions areprovided in a timely manner. Central to this role will be reviewing and processing all student tuition fee invoices and assistance with reconciliation of Government grants.
**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Lead role in tuition fee invoicing, and guiding the team in non-standard programme structures and Government funding regulation
- Lead role in Government funding reconciliation
- Liaising with students regarding tuition fee queries and resolution, including monitoring payment terms
- Assist credit control in meeting with students to discuss circumstances and difficulties in payment
- Prepare and review control account reconciliations, ensuring aged items are investigated and resolved
- Processing of Operational Services section journals and adjustments
- Assisting the Head of Operational Services in financial year-end adjustments
- Perform intercompany transfers and carry out reconciliations
- Administration of the online store including adding new products and events
- Approve and authorise invoices and credit notes
- Responsible for the creation, timely and accurate maintenance of relevant student records

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Sound knowledge, management and practical experience of finance systems
- A good understanding of data analysis relevant to this position and capability of preparation of financial and other reports
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to maintain clear and accurate records and collate and organise data
- Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Articulate, with attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Professional committed and organised approach to work with a drive for results and a customer service focus
- Proven ability to adhere to schedules and prioritise work in a high volume environment ensuring deadlines are met
- Working knowledge of Further/Higher Education including involvement in tuition fees would be advantageous
