**The Role**:
As an Apprentice Property Surveyor, you can make your own powerful contribution. You’ll join the Council’s repair service, planning your own work as you lead small projects or initiatives, and focus on other activities in support of the service. Working with data and undertaking analysis, we’ll also expect you to actively learn to understand the machinery of local government, with a particular emphasis on housing services.

Working in collaboration with colleagues across the department, you’ll help to ensure a joint approach to improving quality and customer satisfaction for our residents. A flexible approach to your working hours is essential, as you maybe have to attend out of hours activities such as Resident Association meetings. You should also be ready to undertake continuing professional development through self-study and attendance at courses and seminars approved by the Property Surveyor and be prepared to work towards a relevant qualification.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you’ll have a good level of literacy and numeracy as evidenced by the successful completion of GCSE exams or their equivalent. Capable of working in a structured and methodical way, you’ll enjoy working with our residents and providing a service to customers and have a genuine interest in building maintenance.
