Background

Business Education Partnership (UK) Ltd, known as BEP Group, is a registered Charity. We have two main areas of work: work experience for children agreed between 14 and 19 and alternative education for children who have been partly or completely removed from mainstream school (or who are risk of becoming NEET).

In the 2022/23 Academic Year, we will place approximately 4,000 young people for 1 to 2 weeks on work experience. BEP Academy has been registered as an Independent School since 2017, and achieved ‘good’ in our 2018 Ofsted inspection.

**Job description**
- Objectives_

To work with the work experience team to recruit, retain and nurture relationships with local business and others to secure work placements (either extended - one to three days per week for up to a year, or block - up to two weeks).

- Key Areas:_
- Work with new and existing employers to identify and develop work experience placement opportunities for young people, maintaining and developing effective relationships with employers.
- Update, maintain and develop the work-experience database.
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks and ensure that all employer work-experience documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Keeping your manager & colleagues informed of progress with placement opportunities which will include
- Addressing employer concerns regarding work experience and student placement.
- Visiting employers as required, nurturing and developing relationships.
- Ensuring that the appropriate welfare and safety measures have been taken before placements are started.
- Any other duties as required by the company.

- Able to organise work targets and manage conflicting pressures and deadlines
- Able to persuade and negotiate effectively
- Experience of working with employers in relation to education, training and recruitment
- Experience of working with young people
- Excellent administrative skills
- Ability to use ICT effectively including word, excel and experience of maintaining and using a database
- Able to establish effective interpersonal relationships with a range of people e.g. professional, parents, employers and young people
- Able to monitor and evaluate to quality standards
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups using a variety of media
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Option 1 - Term time, part-time (negotiable)**

22.5 hours per week, negotiable (873 h/p/a)

Monday to Friday, school term time 9.30 to 14:30 with 30 minutes unpaid break

**Holiday entitlement - **105 h/p/a (to be nominally taken in school holidays)

**Total hours paid - **You will be paid for 978 hours in a full academic year

**Option 2 - Full time**

Term time: Mon, Wed & Thur - 8:30 to 4:30; Tues - 8:30 to 5:00; Fri - 8:30 to 4:00

School hols: Mon to Thur - 8:30 to 3:00 (except Christmas where office is closed)

Holiday entitlement - 5.6 weeks (inc bank holidays and Christmas) plus Fridays in school holidays.

Total hours paid - 1820 per annum (inc holidays)

**Salary**

Range from £10.37 p/h (FTE - £18,873.40) to £13.01 p/h (FTE - £23.678.20). Salary is paid in 12 equal instalments, on the last working Friday of each month.

**Pension**

You may be automatically enrolled in the company’s workplace pension. You have the option to withdraw from the pension plan.
