Provide professional leadership for the strategic direction of all ACP and tACP activity within the Emergency Department. This includes: Service development and redesign, Workforce planning, Innovative role development, Recruitment and retention, Training and development Professional supervision and development to underpin the provision of sustainable high quality services. Develop a post credentialled training programme in ensure career progression for our credentialled ACPs Workforce accountability for the line management of Trainee Emergency Nurse Practitioners (band 6), Emergency Nurse Practitioners (Band 7), Emergency Department Practitioners/trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Band 7) and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (Band 8a) Work with Divisional Matrons to support the day-to-day running of the Emergency Department and Acute medical units providing senior support as required. Responsible for practitioner recruitment and selection process.

Conduct annual appraisals for practitioner teams. Delegating the organisation of work to members of the team. Represents the Division at appropriate meetings. Contribute to and support achieving performance and access targets.
